Quiet Reflection Sunday

One ought, every day at least, to hear a little song,
read a good poem, see a fine picture, and, if it were
possible, to speak a few reasonable words.

Johann Wolfgang von  Goethe

I do love Sunday's, it is a time to relax, let your hair down

and for one day forget all the worries and the problems.
A day to settle my brain, give thinking a break and just enjoy.
I love to spend time with some of the elderly people
in my neighborhood. Have a cup of tea and listen to their
stories. We live in such a hectic world so it is a good thing
to take a trip down memory lane.

Hope you all have a wonderful Sunday.

Do you like to hear stories from elderly relatives or friends?

  1. Yes I do, Susan. They are often humourful and bring life into perspective.
There's a nice saying: Sunday is my day.

    1. Thank you for following! I bet her stories were wonderful. I would love to hear them myself! Do you ever post them to your blog? Yes, I think people in nursing homes have wonderful stories. To bad our elderly are not respected like they are in Japan. We can learn a lot from them. Have a good week.

  4. We also like telling stories, and our kids are very tolerant! They never mention that they've heard it before, unless it is maybe the tenth time we're telling it! Lol. but at least they'll remember them that way! xCathy

  6. Thank you for this blog, Susan. I like what I've read so far and will keep reading.
I do indeed like hearing stories from elderly relatives. They show up on my blog at http://csreyes.wordpress.com/2013/11/15/aunt-roses-wise-words/ and in my book. So much to learn. so much we'd never have known, until told.
    Thanks again.
