I may as well live in the tundra

This morning I decided to brave the weather and step outside for some photos of the storm hitting our area. It is hard to see the blowing snow in the photos but trust me it was quite windy.
When I turned around to go back in, the storm door latch was stuck and I couldn't get in. I had a momentary panic because I was standing there without a winter coat on, gloves or any other type of winter protection. I started to bang on the door handle and eventually it loosened enough for me to get in the house.
That was enough for me. No more pictures, I don't care how much more snow we are going to get.
If you live in the track or wake of this storm stay warm and drive carefully.

  1. We have a few inches of the white stuff here and it's cold, cold, cold. I remember one year dashing out the back sliding glass door to grab some pictures quickly, and like you - no coat, etc. When I went to open the door, the latch had slid into place and the door was locked from inside! I was so fortunate that my garage door was up at the time so I got back inside! Now I carry a spare house key on me at all times! Pretty pics sweetie! You stay warm!! xo

  2. Wow Susan!! You were brave to go out there with no coat on! I can just imagine the panic you must have felt when you realized the door was locked! I'm so glad you got back inside safely! Stay warm today and stay inside!

  3. Yikes!! A moment of panic would have been my reaction too!! I'm glad you got back in where it was warm! Nice photos though! ^_^ As my grandma would have said: "That'll learn ya!" Next time look at it from the window like I do! That's how I got those rain photos!!! ^_^
